This is where I will be spending the day. Not sure where I want it to lead me but I am looking forward to it as a catalyst for change.

11:40-12:40 M. William Phelps
1:10-2:30 Beverly Donofrio
2:40-3:40 Panel Discussion: How to Combine the Writing Life with the Working Life (John Timmons, Sally Terrell, Patrice Hamilton, Steve Ersinghaus)
4:00-5:00 Tunxis Poetry Slam
5:10-6:10 Lucy Ferris
6:30-7:15 Sandi Kahn Shelton
7:30-9:00 Male Ego with Michael Chief Peterson and Jamaal St. John
I might skip the 7:30-9 pm segment, but we will see how I feel by that time of day. I have to prepare for being the "birthday sponsor" for one of my co-worker's birthday tomorrow. I made the cake last night, will frost it tonight. I went with the "historically" successful bundt cake form, regular cake mix material - went orange. I am going with a citrus theme - very spring like. I am trying to think about "side items".
I am missing the Admin Asst tea at the Head of School's house today. It is probably a very good thing that I am not at work today. It is a slippery slope for me when I get with that group and our "leaders" - I have an overwhelming urge to share when I get in those settings.
Skipped all the Earth Day events last night - I love coming home to my apartment when the weather is nice, all the windows are open - very relaxing.
Since getting back from NYC, I keep thinking of things I could do "to help" my son but I have held back communicating with him. He knows I will do whatever he needs me to do, but I also have to think that the plan and execution he comes up with will be what he needs to be doing to get to where he wants to go.
Here is to a good and stimulating day.
