Email is down...

Very interesting how isolated I feel without my email to check today. Tried last night and thought it was just me, but still out today. I re-activated my comcast.net address "for emergency purposes". I will wait and see what happens by end of day today. Might have to actually start calling people on the phone - "strange" as that might feel in this day!

Realize I did not report on Friday. It was a beautiful day. Work was secondary to getting ready for the departmental W&C. We shut the office at 3 p.m. to begin setting up and it was a raucous night which wound up for our department at 9 p.m.! Lots of taste testing on food and drink by all by then. It went a bit longer because my favorite teacher came late and kept it going. I am sure I will be a topic of conversation at the breakfast table on Monday morning. Oh well.

Saturday was busy. I went to work to help out for at a Middle School event and spent most of my morning trying to track down somebody in charge to deal with an unhappy parent...I get a bit discouraged with the coverage we don't have for the weekends. Also, the AOD was someone who has been fired from her job, but being paid until the end of the year so she was still on duty but without a clue what was up. Oh well.

After work (got there about 7:30 a.m.), I went to the parents, took them to a family friend's memorial service, did my wash, went to Target, got home right before the sky opened up with rain, cleaned house and watched/listened to while I cleaned to the Democratic rules committee meeting on CSPAN, ironed clothes, filed papers away. General good productive day.

I am off to church in a couple of minutes. Want to watch some of the talking heads shows for response to the committee decision. Also I have my June book club book to read.

It is June 1!!! 13 days until my beach vacation. I am a happy girl - even if I am incommunicado...
