Emotions are running high

as the Class of 2008 members are working through their last days. This being my first year on the kid side of the street it is not hitting me like some of my co-workers but it is making for interesting days. Today is the all school meeting at 1 p.m. Not sure what happens there but it is the beginning of the real end of the year. Then summer and flip flops everyday will begin and that works for me.

Son called last night. Looks like he and the lady friend may make it to the beach...hope that works. Other than that, I am not sure who will be stopping by.

No response from anyone about my survey response at work...

One of the departing teachers made some predictions yesterday - Hillary will not be VP, McCain will win and our HOS will be gone by this time next year. I told him I was not sad about the 1st and 3rd. My prediction is I am going to miss this departing teacher but I am sure next year will bring new people who I will find interesting. But this person was also a secret crush. At my age that does not happen much and that probably makes it a good thing that he is moving on. I would hate to embarrass myself.

Really wish I had brought my umbrella upstairs...not a long dash to my car from the apartment building door, but it will seem far this a.m. in the pouring rain. Soggy ground for graduation practice under the tent today.

Off to cousin's 50th birthday party tonight with sister #2. Then SAT proctor at 7 a.m. tomorrow at school.

Mother spent the day yesterday at the doctors...not a good thing.
