Thursday before graduation

Things are gearing up around school. Exams are over, weekend plans gearing up. I will miss tomorrow night as I go to my cousin's 50th birthday party. I will need to be back on campus at 7 a.m. to proctor SAT tests on Saturday a.m...then help at the ice cream social after Prize Night Saturday night, then graduation on Sunday. As soon as that is over I will start gearing up my vacation planning.

Yesterday the IT guy at school gave me a pre-conversion consultation survey - because he "does not really know much about the system"...that makes me a bit nervous that he will be the point person for a major system upgrade to our database program. Never ceases to amaze me - the "Stepford Wife" staffing the new HOS has put in place. I will be curious to hear her message at the end of year staff and faculty picnic on the 11th. It is hard for me to believe that she is as out of touch as she appears - I have to believe that I am just not smart enough to navigate her deep mental waters.

Good news about the SAT proctoring is that I hope to finish my book club book in the process.

Felt good about my chat with my son on Tuesday night. Girlfriend is in place, unemployment has run out (supplemental income is another term for unemployment), some commercials being shot. I guess I need to go down and meet the lady friend. I am visualizing tattoos, but I have nothing to back up that vision thinking.

Today - not sure what is up. Not much school based action, but I am sure that someone will "share" a project on which I can assist. I asked one of our worker ant IT people to see if he could download a report of how many hours I have been at my desk since 1/1/08. I want to share with my new leader what it will mean when I say "I am going to work like a regular person after 7/1/08"...

With that thought, I am off to school. Have a good Thursday.
