4 hours in the car, rain...

Interesting day yesterday from 11-4 I was in the car with my parents with a 45 minute break at "the party". I don't think I ever saw 90 candles on a cake before. The birthday celebrant had to call in assistance to get all the candles out. The birthday boy, my father and a guy from Texas (and nobody has heard from him lately...) are the last of a college group, Class of 1941 at Bates College - The Penguins. They used to get together in tuxedos every Sunday night to discuss the issues of the day. Interesting. That was the first I had heard of that group. I am going to see if I can track down the Dallas guy to see if he is still around. From what my father said, he was a coach for the Olympic skeet shooting team back in the day and is a big NRA guy. Should be able to triangulate that if I get his name.

After I dropped off the parents, I headed directly to my brother's pool. We had very heavy rain on the way home, so I was hoping that it would stay away from my swim time and it did. Had a nice visit with my SIL and niece #3. I will pay her to come to work on Thursday and help me move the one year of files out of storage to shredding and one year of files into storage. I am looking forward to having a reduced staff this week.

Got home in time to watch the news and Q&A. Didn't last much longer than that.

HHH again today. Have a good Monday.
