Sunday

Note to my siblings today - hope it finds them all well.

"Hope you are all having a good weekend. I had a great visit with Mrs. Grace and Shelly on Friday night - went up for a swim after dinner with Carroll Cole and Debbie Farrell at Cheesecake Factory. Mary - Shelly said to give her a call. She will be home until the end of August. Also, Nancy is going to be inducted into the CT Field Hockey Hall of Fame in September.

Off today to Massachusetts...giving M&D a ride to Milford MA for a Bates's buddy's 90th birthday. I would love to drop them off and head to the Cape if we did not have a computer conversion this week! Jane: I am trying to find a day or weekend to come to NYC to see Chris and Ms. Emily - so let me know when you will be back in the big city.

PC Picnic next Sunday. Not sure if I am going this year - might have to be "on call" for the computer guy at school. Want to make sure everything is up and running for Monday so we can start the training on a system that is working - novel concept at Ethel - things "working"...

I am loving Wesleyan's summer film festival this year - even though Mr. Monroe is not in attendance. Notorious, Casablanca, Gaslight, Bells of St Mary's - is the lineup. I had not seen any of them and I LOVED Notorious and Casablanca and since Bergman got the academy award for Gaslight, I am really looking forward to Wed night. I am totally taken with Claude Reins! Too bad he is dead.

People were making fun of me big time yesterday - I had to go to the bank and PO so I walked, then back home for my new refrigerator delivery (part of my negotiation for renewing my lease for another year), then walked up to the town pool, then home, then walked to church. Many people in town passed me more than once as I "wandered"...with a different outfit on each time...

If anyone knows the accounting principles between how 24 versus 26 pay periods approach works please let me know. I am having a "discussion" with our Business Manager about what I saw as a flagrant overpayment of all employees in the last pay period. But when I offered to pay back some money, I was told - "no problem, we pay on 26 pay periods so it will all wash out"...I cannot get my head around that.

Have a great Sunday."

Not sure what else is up for this Sunday, but will probably swing by my brother's house after the MA trip for a swim.

Have a great Sunday.
