Refrigerator Saturday

Hottest day of the year so far and the poor people will be moving my new refrigerator up and old one down 4 flights of stairs. I got a bit warm going up and down with my laundry last night at 10 p.m. and they will be doing their work between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m...

But before that - I will be off to the bank to cash my "cash back check" I get from my credit card each July. Not a very big check anymore with my meager spending, but it was a very nice check when I was clothing, feeding and housing - and then educating - my son. Other than that, my only plan for today is to walk to the pool later in the day.

Yesterday was a good day - productive at work, nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory (great - cheap - bar menu from 4-6 p.m. each night, that worked for me and my cousins), then I called a family friend to see if it was OK if I popped by for a swim. She had just gotten back from the Cape - my quick swim lasted for an hour+. I had not seen her older daughter in a very long time. She teaches in Bermuda and comes home for the summer. She is the same age as sister #4. Nice visit with both of them. I got home at 9 p.m. Full day - things worked all along the way.

I did get a new piece of information about 24 versus 26 pay periods a year - the consequences of what took place may not be as big as I thought, but I may still have to make a call or two to get my head around the process.

Next week should be interesting - new and old boss are both out of the office = no boss around. Computer conversion will be in full swing. We should go to "read only" as of Wednesday. I have a lot I want to print out for mailings before we go to that phase and training starts next week. Unlike this week, my only night activity next week will be the Ingrid Bergman movie on Wednesday. I will do this one alone.

Can't wait until I get my new refrigerator!
