Niece #2 arriving today, sister #1 tomorrow and sister #3 is getting her spiel together as to who needs to do what and why as she heads back to Brooklyn on Sunday or Monday. Looks like at least another week in rehab for mother. We are getting to a slippery slope as to the "need to be well to get in" type decisions for assisted living places and from what my sister is telling me - mentally my father has had a major decline this year.
And to be totally selfish about it - there have been the best fall weather days of late that I am missing completely and totally. I have to make sure I get a walk today to make sure I have my head about me and am not mean in my presentation of what I think is next.
And losing money as each day goes on in my investment accounts.
And the boss is back from traveling today and even just hearing her voice on the phone when she called in yesterday aggravates the life out of me.
And I am missing my political "stuff" I could be doing right now. Can't get my book club book read.
And, obviously, I have to get my head around the reality of my life. I could leave again, but I used that for 30+ years of family life. Moving home sort of took that option away...why did I think this made sense.
I did have a good time yesterday talking to the college recruiter from Flagler College. I can't believe more people do not see it as an option! People in New England look their noses down on college-ing in Florida, but depending on what you want to study - Flagler cannot be beat in my mind. It is a school and lifestyle that I think would be great for so many kids.
Well, that reminds me I want to email some friends about Flagler and a question they asked me about it when I saw them last.
Here is to the weekend. Good news, my son will be up for the day on Sunday. Not seeing much other good news. But that is an attitude problem. Reality is what it is.

Sounds like a rough day, it will get better. And yes an attitude adjustment would be good, but it doesn't have to be today. I love you!
