Jets Win! Jets Win!

NFL Network is a bad thing, but from what I am hearing on the early morning news I bet they got some converts to get to be able to see the Jets-Patriots game. Perfect that it came down to Randy Moss on one side and Brett Favre on the other - I think they put that film right into the "Instant Classic" bucket.

While that was going on, I was at my first training session for my Deputy Registrar of Voters "job". I am hoping that it will mean a couple of dollars, but it is fun nonetheless. The outgoing Democratic Registrar took over when my mother became town tax collector 30+ years ago. The new Democratic Registrar is a long time family friend and the Republican Registrar was one of the "popular boys" in high school and we used to swim at their family pool in the summer. They owned one of less than a handful of "cement ponds" back in the 50's and 60's in our town.

Today is take mother to the doctor's, Trustees on campus and boss away. Interesting combination of factors impacting my day. But all good in my mind.

Next week I will have book club, another registrar training session, and dinner with my neighbor - see if I can get back into some routine now that family health crisis time is over. Today and this weekend - work and walk and church are my only goals. A week from tomorrow back to the Mazda dealer for my next oil change and tire rotation. Want to get it done before I do my Thanksgiving travel and my North Carolina trip. I can't wait to spend the morning in the fancy waiting room again. 7200+ miles already on the car that I purchased with 56 miles on it in May, 2008...

Playing with the idea of going to UCONN on Sunday for the opening of the women's regular season against Georgia Tech. We will see if that works for my cousin.

Here we go - Happy Friday and Have a great weekend.
