Monday of a 3 day work week should be easy to take. We will see.
Yesterday all worked! I was at work by 8:15 a.m. and finished up what I wanted to by 10:15 a.m. and was there to let the Asst AD into the building. The building was locked up tight and she did not have a key and she had a meeting scheduled in the afternoon so I gave her a set of keys that would get her in later in the day. Then a great call on my way to my car to drop things off and get ready to walk. My last piece of my NC trip fell into place. Good friends said - once again - they would put me up (and put up with me...) for a night of my visit. And a bonus, I get to meet some of their family. That made my day. Can't wait for my trip.
After my walk, I headed into the parents. Sister #3 was there, Sister #5 passed on the trip taking her daughter to Providence to a friend's house instead. Sister #3 is not happy with mother's condition, but it is what it is. I hope she does not make mother decide not to go to Sister #4's for Thanksgiving...
More good news, I made it to a Faculty Recital at U of H. Richard Provost - never lets me down. I am so in awe of people with musical talent. I am struggling with trying to think of a crafty and inexpensive alternative to holiday gifts, if I don't find one - no gifts this year. But as everyone knows, getting something from me is always a wild card.
Things that got my attention yesterday - Bosque School in Albuquerque; my $100 gas gift card used up in 30 days to the day...; Pirates seem to be the only booming enterprise in the worlds economic sphere - maybe I need to rethink my future; JETS Win, JETS Win; Giants win; what happens with the MILLIONS of nickels that are redeemed by people who buy cans and bottles of beer and soda. I emailed our Env Sci teacher to see if I can assist her club to collect our portion of those millions by making sure that all our cans and bottles are cashed in.
Have to pack my lunch today - no dining hall today. So better get going.
Have a good holiday week Monday.
