Sunday before Election Day

Sunday worked for me on most levels. I woke up and got back in bed with my book and finished it. Then off to the office. Did not stay long, but long enough to respond to information that came in since I left the office on Saturday. Had breakfast and headed to "the house" to pick up magazines and the Sunday paper to read. I missed the newspaper, father had it to and from "the home" before I got there.

Left my car at the house and walked to the home. When I got there I found sister #4 and #3 and mother. Mother still looks ready to go home. Sister #3 came up early because she needed to head back to her town for their pre-election party. Brother and his daughters also should up post basketball game. I took off at 3:30 ish to walk back to my car in the light of day and off to the grocery store and unfortunately, I stopped by 5 Guys for french fries. AND snickers bars from my father's candy bowl. (He bought candy for Halloween, but went to bed before the kids started coming around.) So I was in distress all night - stomach wise. Why do I do things like that?

Today will be my last short day - not short in hours worked, but when I leave. After tomorrow, I will not have the home as an excuse but I will do some checking in after sister #3 leaves - but I did tell her that I am off duty Saturday Nov 8.

We had a Thanksgiving discussion and if all stays as it, I will drive the parents down to sister #4's for dinner and to see her new kitchen. I hope that plan sticks. The day after, I might head to NYC with sister #5 and niece #4 if they don't go somewhere more exciting.

Good news for the Giants and the Jets.

Better get moving. Have a good Monday.
