Starting my day by shoveling and moving my car. Plow boy came a bit early, so I will have to keep that in mind as the winter progresses as to when I get out and move to the town parking lot so he can do his work.
Got a bit lazy in the a.m. yesterday but the afternoon picked up with ROV, volunteer work AND a trip to the dumpling place. On my walk I ran into a man who knew my family and a classmate of my sister's. You see lots more people when you walk in the daylight and not at dusk! I used one of my gift certificates at the dumpling place and was happy as a clam! What great gifts I got for leaving my regular work. But also, got my last regular work paycheck today...but it still is a scale tipping way in my favor on all levels as far as I am concerned.
Today I have lots to do for volunteer work, need to go to town hall to check emails, work on a brochure for my EDA work and off to U of H for a student recital tonight with a walk squeezed in at some point in the daylight. Was going to walk tonight with an ex-co worker, but I asked if maybe we should move it to Saturday since walking in the dark is not a necessity - or desire - for me at this point in time. That will make this early winter much more comfortable for me.
My fortune last night - as I ate off one of the gift certificates - was "You have friends and you know it." Another entry for my "you can't make this stuff up" list. Tomorrow I have a seminar to go to and opening night for my niece's basketball. Saturday is our town's Christmas day so it should be festive, walk and basketball game at my old work place. Sunday - count money at church and go to holiday Christmas music program at a church in West Hartford.
Have a good Thursday.
