Good news in waves

After meeting with the marketing lady about a brave new work world I was thinking of creating for myself, I get a call about the first position I applied for after I "retired". I think it would be perfect. We will see what the boss has to ask me on Monday. It was the job where I could walk to work!!! On a sunny day, in the 50's like today - that is heavenly.

The school play I went to was great. Amazing what those girls can do and this was the Middle School level! My ex-co-worker's daughter was incredible. Her sense of humor and timing was spot on.

After the play, I did one of my retirement activities that I so rarely did before - went out for tea with a friend. We sat and talked for an hour AND then my phone was ringing letting me know my friend from NC had arrived in CT. We will get together today after I take my walk. After driving up from NC she was ready to call it a day yesterday.

I cleaned house, did my ROV work so my slate is clean for the balance of the weekend. I am thinking I might be breaking out my flipflops for my walks this weekend. I also need to ask my landlord to reset all my windows from storm windows to full screen "version". I have a vision that is I try either a storm window or screen insert will be flying down to street level toward passersby. But I am dying to open my windows up today.

Also my volunteer work school is in the NE Hockey tournament! I will have to check and see what the schedule for that game is tomorrow. I am committed to count money at church, but we will see if things "dovetail" to allow me to do everything.

Have a great weekend!
