Rainy Saturday

Not sure how much reading I will get done today in spite of the fact that the rain has "come through" for me.

Yesterday I think I passed all the check up items for my new job. Except they did recommend that glasses (in addition to the lovely reading glasses constantly hanging around my neck) might be in my future. We will see.

I spent a bit of my future first paycheck on my way home - first visit in my life to Price Chopper and it was cosmic as to the things I needed and sale items - very good trip. Then the Famous Footwear store in Torrington had the shoes I wanted that the Simsbury store did not. I am very happy. I think I am set now for Spring and Summer footwear.

Took a walk after my physical and my shopping. It was gloomy but not raining. Then off to Ocean State Job Lots for socks, coffee, and found some great summer nightgowns - so I bought one for my sister and one for me. I am glad I have something to gift bag and give her for her birthday. I don't like to buy things just because it is someone's birthday, so I love it when I find something I think someone will like relatively close to their birthday time.

Then off to the Community Center to use one of their meeting rooms to meet with my investment guy. Have some rollover of old, allocation of new money to look at and he was very helpful.

Dinner with ex co workers followed all that and that was about it for me for the day.

Today I have phone bank work to do for a Gubernatorial candidate, then some volunteer school work and then maybe meet up with two of my sisters who are coming into the area pre-party time. We will see about that last activity depending how tired they are from traveling.

Cosmic guidance today and anyone who knows where I was in the early 80's - this is very exciting to me! I am hoping my new shoes will suffice for the wardrobe deal.
