Family Saturday

Didn't take time to adjust this image, but when it comes to family - "image in need of adjustment" might speak to reality... I wish our gathering today would have the looks and decorum of this family picture from back in the day. I can only wish. Sounds like my night will be beef stew dinner. I will go into the parents after church so I have a reason to be a late arrival.

Between now and then, a mini golf course is supposedly being built on the green in front of my house. I am thinking I might need to get my car out of our parking lot before I can't get out but I don't think there is anywhere I need to go before 3 p.m., but I might jump up as we speak and move it anyway. Think I just talked myself into it. Be back in a minute. I'm back. Now I don't have to think about it.

Lots of VSW to do. I am very excited about my next chapter there. It should dovetail with what I have in mind for my regular work. I am a lucky girl. The whole "some doors shut, new windows open" thinking.

Plan for yesterday worked. Regular work, VSW meeting, parents, walk, swing by regular work, wash clothes, news shows, and called it a day. Good end to a busy week. This a.m. I read for a bit (latest Kellerman family book - wife this time). Plan unfolding as family drifts into town for Father's day. Half family today, other half tomorrow. I hit both get togethers for a bit. Tomorrow night dinner with brother and family for niece's graduation with actual graduation on Monday night. Looks like trip to NY State might be replaced by a trip to Newport, RI. I am in favor of that. One, I have not been there since 1975 and two, less driving and no need to take time off from regular work.

Plan for today - walk, church, family - ironing if time allows. Think it works for me.

Have a good Saturday.
