I almost forgot the town pool opened on Saturday. Reading, walking and VSW filled the first half of my day. Church and part one of Father's Day filled the second half. But in between, I did swing by and pay my Senior Citizen $20 membership fee for the summer. One time when I don't mind taking advantage of the 55+ status. Might get a dip today. We will see what the sister participants in the part two of Father's Day want to do. Then off to dinner with my brother's family for a pre-graduation celebration. Then graduation tomorrow night.
This morning I am hoping to get my walk in, swing by the office to check my phone messages - we have an event on Thursday and I want to see if any more RSVP's - then off to the parents for lunch before sister #1 heads back to DC. But that leaves two sisters still in the area and I hope I can talk them into a dip.
Beautiful Day on tap. I would be heading to the beach if it was not a family day.
Speaking of family, son is working through the consequences of a fall. Sounds like an event got out of hand and he made a choice to do some building jump (NYC) and his ankle did not come through it in one piece. He will find out on Wednesday whether it is really bad rather than just real bad. Bad timing with all he has to do this summer for work and life, but choices have a way of having a ripple effect but he has made those ripples work for him in the past and I am confident he will do that again. I just asked him to keep all non-surgical options in front of the line before he agreed to any cutting. But my attitude toward doctors gets in my way when it comes to decision making and advice giving so I will stay away from giving any more advice.
So with all that said. I will get my day started. Have a good day.
