Great Sunday. Father's Day with lots of family, but the end was all about me. (Where I am the most comfortable...) By 2 p.m. on Sunday we had all siblings except one and two of 5 grandchildren at the parents' house. Then I passed on the dinner with brother's family because one sister was staying over night and she was looking for something to do. So brother understood and sister and I headed back to my apt and then to the town pool where she was a lifeguard in the 70's-80's. Then a walk down the new section of rail to trails by the old town pool where she also worked in high school before the new pool opened. Fun listening to her stories. I was not around much after 1970 so I missed the life of "the second family", the last 3 children my mother had.
Planning a trip this weekend to Newport for the Cliff Walk with two siblings. Maybe ending up at the Westerly Band Shell event. We will see.
Yesterday I did have my walk, did stop by the office - only one additional RSVP as of yesterday a.m. Went by the grocery store to get bananas, bread for me and some salads for lunch at the parents.
Today - work, walk, graduation. Sister who was here last night will be down the street with some of her ex high school classmates at lunch time so I will try to swing by there to say hello. Then after work walk and then to brother's house and drive with them to graduation.
I will miss Bachelorette but life has its sacrifices.
Beautiful day yesterday and more today. I am getting a bit sad about the beginning of Summer tomorrow. Every day will be shorter from tomorrow and out...I hate that. But I will keep happy thoughts for today.
Have a good Monday.
