Might as well have been trying to fix a phone of this vintage. But with a relative's intervention based on her long career with the phone company - phone was fixed by 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon rather than the suggested Saturday date first given to my father. But the good news is that he now knows how to answer his cellphone and went to the phone store to figure out how to turn the ringer up. It takes a village - once again. BUT now father is taking about going to the cable approach to his phone line. I told him please no changes right now.
As to my day. Early to work. Governor was in town to do a ribbon cutting at a new bike trail. And we had a "client" to process, so I wanted to get an early start. My job is not a full time job as currently configured, but it is a full time process being there when I am really needed. I am working on making necessary adjustments to make it make sense and pave the way so the next "me" does not have to fight it.
I did get a good walk in and a swim at family friend's pool. Home in time to work on VSW and watch most of the Newshour. Then to bed to read for a bit. Should finish my latest Kellerman this weekend, but I have another one ready.
Tomorrow off to Hole in the Wall Camp to be part of a volunteer group who has to change 200 beds in two hours - sounds do-able. We will see if I feel the same way tomorrow. But before that, oil change for the car. Then we will see where the rest of the day takes me. I will be visiting a sister and niece who live near the camp to pick up some more hand me downs from my niece. I can use more summer wear so good timing.
My usual list for Friday and Saturday - work, VSW, parents, walk, swim, water my house plants, clean apt, do wash, grocery store, dishwasher, iron clothes that get washed, church, TMZ (did you hear that planking got replaced by coning?) - I am sure I will get some projects at VSW today. That is a good thing.
Have a good Friday and weekend.
