Vacation Day 11?

"I believe you will undergo a kind of graduation in the next four weeks, Libra. Graduation from what? Maybe from a life lesson you've been studying for a while or from an institution that has given you all it can. Perhaps you will climax your involvement with a situation that has made big demands on you. I suspect that during this time of completion you will have major mixed feelings, ranging from sadness that a chapter of your story is coming to an end to profound gratification at how much you have grown during this chapter."

"Don't worry that you don't have the expertise or experience to do a particular job - once you have started you will quickly learn what needs to be done. Other people know what you are capable of, but do you?"

Again, I am having trouble keeping track of time.  But all I know is that my attitude toward vacation is shifting...with the eye to being lakeside during a heat wave rather than at home.  Let's keep a good thought that the weather will turn cooler when I head south on Saturday.

Other than that, I am completely wrapped up in my latest book - Follett's Fall of Giants.  I had finished 4 books I brought with me and had a choice between starting the Follett books my landlord gave me or Mumford's City in History.  I am very happy I picked Follett.

Yesterday - besides reading - I attempted to climb Mt Major...but was losing track of the trail markers and thought it was not worth getting lost to say I had done it.  I did a half hour up and half hour down so that was fine.  I took a look at the "scenic overlook" on the way home to make sure I did not miss anything.  Then swimming, then dinner with the landlords.  The husband likes to poke fun at my politics so it is fun conversation.  I think I am finally on my own as to food today.  We will see where that takes me.  I was planning on walking to Alton today - but my landlord has set up a morning meeting with a neighbor who has a daughter going into the Peace Corps.  Then we will see which way I head.

Now that they installed a booster at their house, I have internet here so I am not as anxious to get to the library.  It is amazing how I am getting used to being "unconnected".  It will be a shock to my system to get home and have to go back to work.

Better go jump in the lake.  Have a good Tuesday (it is Tuesday I think).
