Good day at the stores :)

As I told sister #1, I am not sure what "algo" I cracked open, but another video popped up for another settlement in eastern Paraguay.  Definitely in another stage of development than the other one.  Listened to the latest Prof G.  Listened to NPR.  Watched a bit of the vote on the House speaker vote.  Ran my mind about medicare and pharmaceutical commercials on TV and mail jamming my mailbox.  I wish we had that type of money going into wellness, and non-medical industrial complex approach to life. Want the best for everyone, truly.  But if it comes from a place of true compassion for the human race...  Back to reality - listening to latest WBD this a.m.  Sent him video about the Paraguay settlement.  Paraguay came up in the episode.

Yesterday - Shoprite, OSJL, Fast Lane to get the air checked in my tires.  Got $4.98 credit at Shoprite.  Bag o salad rang up at the wrong price so I got one for free and the second one at the sale price.  Got to OSJL with a desk calendar in mind - Jan to Dec 2024.  But found one that was Jan 2024-Jan 2025 and smaller.  Date range so works for me AND it is smaller so it is the same size as my lap top so it just felt "cosmic" that it is backpack size and $1.00.  :)  

Went for walk post shopping and tire pumping.  CA DC did not happen.  Went to IOWA at night.  I think this one is off my list for the balance of the year.  Tonight is NY DC.  Walk with family friend and grandson this a.m.  Will tune into CSPAN to see what might be happening in the HOR.  Did my washing chores yesterday, cleaning apt at some point today.  Bought some new candles yesterday at Shoprite.  I had checked them out when I walked through Shoprite on Saturday.  :)  Will listen to a bit of BTV re Oct 28 eclipse... :)

Also shared with a former co worker about something I thought he would find interesting - and he did.  Americorps collaboration with the US Forest Service.  

By all means get out into the world and have fun with your friends, but don’t go mad and leave yourself short of cash come the weekend. If it costs you the proverbial arm and a leg then maybe you should find cheaper ways to enjoy yourself.
