Got an good start yesterday and before I met family friend and grandson for our walk, I had done word work, had morning meal, cleaned apartment. Lots of "aromas" from candles and incense AND I remembered to blow out the candles before I headed out. Noon time EOLD discussion - https://www.hickorynutfarmstead.com/about/ She studied under Mary Lauren Fraser in Massachusetts https://www.fraserbaskets.com/caskets. Forgot to turn my phone back on after the zoom, so missed a call from my brother. He was heading home from work early to take SIL to physical therapy post her new hip last week. Had an email from sister #4 about the "irritation" on her leg..."Unfortunately that growth on my shin is a squamous gone wild! Out for biopsy but he's pretty sure. UGH!" She did not give me the high sign to come down today to move furniture. PD buddy sent word work already this morning. He is taking tonight's regular shift off. Finished the day yesterday at NY DC. Good conversation. Started my latest book - The Beach at Summerly - A ravishing summer read that transports readers to a midcentury New England rich with secrets and Cold War intrigue. No heavy lift, but I am enjoying it. My listening yesterday was not too heavy either - WBD, BTV, and NPR.
Did have to smile when I read this this morning - "I've been living without heat for 5 years" - 15 hours ago — British personal finance influencer Klaire de Lys posted a series of TikToks this week about the products you should buy when central heating is not an option"... I do turn it on if company is coming but not day to day. :)
Put the foliage pic in today after seeing a great visual of the trees reflecting in the river yesterday. This is an active time of year as to how the views change everyday - color, color, color fall...bleak winter. :) Oh well. The next "startle" will be the Fall Back on Nov 5. I do hope even if they cannot pick a speaker of the house, we can get legislation to stop the fall back, spring ahead situation. It is the little things that get me. :)
Listening to David Brooks on CBS Sunday Morning last week. Helping people see, hear and understand each other...How to Know a Person.
The Sun remains in your sign just four more days, so if there is anything of a creative or professional nature that needs to be finished make that your one and only goal. Time is precious and must never be wasted, so get on with it now.
It's likely that you've been feeling the urge to exercise your imagination. As much as you enjoy your profession, there isn't much chance to stretch your mind and show your creative visual side. With some time off, you could pick up paints and brushes or pen and paper and begin an art project of some kind. With all the houseguests and visitors dropping by, expect encouragement!
You may feel caught in a whirlwind as the moon continues its journey through Sagittarius, dearest Libra, connecting with the Nodes of Fate, Neptune, Mercury, and the sun. This energy is perfect for owning who you are and the path that leads you there, gravitating only toward those who appreciate that which makes you unique. Just be mindful to stay on track with your responsibilities at work, double-checking that your affairs are in order. Hunker down at home when the moon enters Capricorn this evening, giving your heart space to unwind. Recite positive reinforcements later tonight when the sun and Mercury align.
No worries about staying in touch with work at this point in my life... :) But do feel a clear vision for what I need to work on this winter. My Spring/Fall action; Summer/Winter planning. BUT I do need some time in the closet over the next few weeks - sifting and sorting paper "stuff". Need to get things either in the "sentimental buckets" or out - is my thought.
Have a good Thursday - walk, Coachella DC tonight.
