Finished Mar W&T book club book. Tinkers: Tinkers follows George Crosby in the days before he dies and his memories from his childhood. The book takes the reader through both George's life as well as his father's, Howard, who sells home goods from a wagon in New England. The reader learns about George's skill at fixing clocks, which becomes a metaphor for life's beauty as well as its fragility. It is about Howard's struggle with epilepsy as well as his own relationship with his father, who was a minister who fell ill when Howard was a boy. It is a novel that is not only about death, but the gift of simple pleasures of nature and being in the world. It is about fathers and sons, solitude and connection. Probably not the best book to read when I am in a search mode myself. :) But will drop it back to the library on my walk today. Next two Kruegers on my bedside table. Whew. :)
This is the perfect time to break free of routines and habits that have been holding you back from expressing your full creativity. Don’t waste time worrying what other people might think of your actions – their opinions must not be allowed to restrict you.
Today is a very high-energy day in which you have the physical stamina to accomplish quite a bit, Libra. Take care, however, that you have all the necessary facts before you venture out for your day's activities. It could be that there is a hidden force working, perhaps within your own mind, to blur the lines of reality about a certain issue. Check your sources and proceed with caution.
Prioritize your mental health as Mercury and Neptune hold hands overhead, dear Libra, activating the sector of your chart that governs wellness. Pull back from disappointment by directing your focus toward all things sweet, if only for today. A bit of flirting can help boost the ego as the Aquarius moon crosses over Venus, elevating your natural charms. The desire to create will also become pronounced and may inspire your next great masterpiece. Get organized at home and within your goals once Luna enters Pisces this evening, getting a head start on any weekend chores that need completing before the fun can begin.
Have a good Friday. Keep a good thought for mine.
