Things settled back in

I let myself rest - but did take two walks.  Had noon DC and was not sure about rain so I headed out at 8:30 a.m....but along that walk, I got a text from family friend to see if I wanted to walk after my noon zoom.  Rain was not scheduled to start until 3 p.m. So cleaned apt, finished my first walk, came home, went to zoom, then headed back out at 1:05 p.m.  Probably just the kind of day I needed after my MC/time in car day on Tuesday.  Landlady had homemade soup sitting outside my door when I came back from walk #1.  

Pouring as we speak.  Should be done by 9 am-ish.  Once again, I am very glad the rain this week was not snow.  How many inches of snow equals one inch of rain? On average, thirteen inches of snow equals one inch of rain in the US, although this ratio can vary from two inches for sleet to nearly fifty inches for very dry, powdery snow under certain conditions.  Overnight we were supposed to be between 1.5-2 inches of rain...  

7 p.m. EOLD program was good.  Noon - VSED discussion.  7 p.m. - raising money for a doula who now needs a doula.  7 kids and up against two surgeries within a month for a cancer situation.  I don't get it - as to having treatment/surgeries but no one is me and I am not everyone.  Today 2 p.m. CT DC.  

Sister #6 called.  Gunshots in the area around her school so they were in lock down for a couple of hours.  It was a scheduled half day so the kids and teachers were hoping that the guy would please finish his shooting before 11:35 a.m.  Phew.  :)  The Barnstable Police Department said the police chief told local school administrators around 10:30 a.m. that there was no danger to any students attending nearby schools because the suspect was inside his home.  The lockdown was lifted by dismissal.

Today - walk, 2 p.m. DC, do need to watch my Chicago shows from last night.  CVS MC sent out a survey yesterday - they got an earful about my ears full.  Traced my TX friend's flight to Atlanta.  As long as she made it to IAH in time she was fine.  Her first Spirit Airlines flight...always an experience.  Also checked in with landlord with message about volunteer opp at local museum.  He had already signed up.  

The message of the stars today is that there is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it. On the work front especially you will find reserves of both energy and inspiration that lift your efforts above and beyond what your rivals can offer.
