Apt quote from today's Daily Stoic after conversations I had yesterday: That’s why seeing justice as a way of being, as how you treat others, is so important. It’s why Marcus Aurelius called it “the source of all other virtues.” Because how can we become better versions of ourselves, how can we reach the heights of our potential, if we can’t admit our past blunders, if we can’t make amends with others, if we can’t own the unpleasant responsibility of who we’ve been? Justice, as the Stoics understood, is the foundation to true self-improvement. I spent MANY years not in the "see justice as a way of being..." mode. Food for thought today.
Was with a group of former school #1 co workers yesterday afternoon and realized how much has passed through my brain since I left there for all intensive purposes in June 2019 (was called back in for some short stints since then, but limited "range of motion" during those times). Good feeling about my reencounters yesterday. Also was very comfortable in the setting. Talcott Mountain Collective. Not sure of the development, but on an incredible piece of property - used to be a golf course. Not sure how they can make the economics of it work, but it was a great place to sit outside and visit yesterday. Good end to a day that started with Shoprite $23/$10 day..., then a call from family friend to meet her and grandson at the reservoir which I jumped at, ran dishwasher, put a load of clothes in, CA DC, Cumberland Farms for gas - first time in a very long time (had to look - March), then to the gathering, home and was going to tune into the NH CT DC, but seeing the crowd and the mood of the facilitator...decided I wanted to end the day with the feeling I got from the school gathering. :)Got a text when I got home to see if I would walk the grandson around while family friend did some research at Town Hall for her cemetery volunteer work. I jumped at that too! Nothing on the docket until noon EOLD. Clean apt at some point.
Someone who appears to be on your side is actually quite envious of your success and will do their utmost to undermine your authority if they get the chance. Keep your guard up today and be especially wary of people who flatter you for no good reason.
You may not want to admit something today, Libra, although you know it's true. It becomes more obvious than you think if you're hiding behind a barrier that has formed between you and someone close to you. If you insist on acting this way, ask yourself why you even bother staying in the relationship. Global emergencies don't necessarily cancel out our personal problems. Be gentle with yourself during this difficult time.
Be mindful of who you trust when the Aquarius moon squares off with Uranus, dear Libra, which could unleash envy amongst your peers. Steer clear of negative competition or power struggles, focusing instead on self-improvement and building confidence. Luckily, Mars and Chiron unite mid-morning to highlight the connections in your life that offer genuine support. Lead with an open heart, loving fully the people and situations that stir passions within. Touch base with your personal to-do lists when Luna enters Pisces this evening, relieving stress by catching up on chores. Connect with your spirituality when Jupiter stirs tonight.
I am getting a "late" start for me this a.m. Will see how well I mentally, physically and emotionally catch up. Cosmic guidance has be on my toes. :) Have a good Wednesday.
PS: Interesting read of Chapelboro this a.m. Chatham County growth mode. Inflation and Chapel Hill restaurants. 29 years ago...things look different when I landed in that area.
