Interesting day and looking to today

Heading to the beach for lunch today with cousin.  It might have been since Thanksgiving Friday at Vito's since I have seen here.  Lots of water has gone under the family bridge since then.  I am looking forward to where the chat should go especially since I have company hitting town as of Tuesday.  TX Friend Tuesday, Sister #1 and gentleman caller on Wednesday, Sister #4 on Friday or Saturday.  Family friend who works at Safety Harbor Spa and Resort will be up here for 3 weeks starting next week.  I am sifting through where the influx will all take me.  So today get gas for car, lunch, will hope to hit pool.  Tomorrow a.m. Lansing DC.  Walk.  Pool.  

Yesterday composed emails to some doulas to get their feedback about my thoughts.  Walked with former school #1 co worker's wife.  She could do 40 minutes.  I kept wandering.  Ran into PD chief.  Former school #1 parent on the trails.  Pool.  Writing.  

Dr. Kerr's book - a reading feeding frenzy for sure.  The content and timing could not be better.  I am so Doris.  We live as we die as a chapter title.  Quotes as the book is ending.  "I don't want a doctor's death.  I want my own freedom." "A "good" death has always been about dying on one's own terms and not about the prowess of medical intervention."  It is at the hour of death that people are able to free themselves from old fears and find their way back to a renewed sense of self." "It is through these reconstituted relationships that the dying often put themselves back together and recover a sense of wholeness.  It is precisely a renewed sense of self that our last journey on earth makes possible."  Interesting read for my Independence Day 2024.  :)

Also got a text from college friend who was contacted by a college classmate - do we want to get together...  I told her "curiously I do".  We will see how that gets set up.  Got a call from sister #6 saying she saw RFK Jr. in her neighborhood.  Ethel's house was full and lots of activity at the compound and the club.  Sister knows I love those sightings.  :)  

Listening to All In as we speak.  What is going to happen in the presidential race.  Listening to lots of postulating.  

Son sent a food pic to my picture frame from his 4th get together.  I texted back that his spread looked much better than mine food offerings. His texted "pretty mixed reviews on4th of July from the gen z crowd. :)"  

A window of opportunity is opening on the work front and you must take advantage of it. If you hesitate for even a minute you could lose out to a rival who, while not as talented as you, is quicker off the mark.
