Lobster roll - first of the season

Glad I was not paying.  Cousin fortunately has a leadership role in the New Haven school system and had real estate holdings all over.  So she enthusiastically forked over the "MP" for our rolls.  $35 per lobster roll platter.  YIKES!  A reason I have left the LRs by the way side of late.  Guess I could buy a lobster when on sale at Shoprite but the need is not that deep to go through the steps of Shoprite to roll.  :)

So off to the coastline.  Uneventful ride in the MAZDA.  Stopped for gas.  Happy to see that since the last fill up - 260.8 miles, 37.28 miles per gallon.  That car keeps on going.  Of course my driving the speed limit on I-91 leads to lots of horn honking and cars speeding by, but I stay right and eyes forward.  :)  Cousin is doing well.  We went to Sandpiper.  Walked the beach and I was back and in the town pool by 3:34 p.m.  Got to cousin's at 11.  After pool PD buddy did a drive by.  Chatted a bit about the potential of his new job.  THAT is going to be a change for me.  He has been a fixture in my life since 2010...  But he needs to keep making money.  But nice to have a full pension ready to pay out at age 45 with another 20 and pension on the horizon.  He did put me down as a reference, so I will see if the other town reaches out to his elderly constituent to see what she has to say.  He is an easy kid to say good things about as to how he works and relates to people.

Got a text post swim from former school #2 boss who is at their lake house with their two kids and their boyfriend and girlfriend.  Find out daughter's boyfriend bought a house in Detroit that he is renting out and wanted to know if he could reach out to my son about it.  In the eloquent response from my son - "def :)".  So I passed son's contact info to boss.  Will be very happy if this forms a connection between her family and my son!  Fingers crossed.

So again, another IRL people day...I am holding out hope that this will prepare me for next week, not burn me out.  :)  Need to check in with TX friend so see if I should buy her a non-resident senior membership at the pool IF she plans on going there enough to make it make sense.  Unfortunately it looks hot and humid over the next 8-10 days but if she is heading to her sisters...I will check.

Lansing DC at 10 a.m., walk, pool is my plan.  Rain held off yesterday until after my swim.

Listening to Jordan Peterson and Tom Bilyeu.  Don't know if I will be able to stay with it.  Dark.  Couldn't stay with it.  Switched over to Galloway talking to Lewis Howes. Much better for my psyche. No rose colored glasses but not tinted windows like Peterson.  :)

Your self-belief will soar this weekend and your ideas and creativity on the work front will impress people in positions of power. A positive attitude when dealing with difficult tasks could take you a very long way in a relatively short space of time.

Make practical use of the thoughts you have synthesized over the last few days, Libra. Stretch your boundaries and extend your wisdom to the people around you. This is a day to take action. Connect with your heart and move forward with your plans. We normally think of our hearts as being soft, tender, and vulnerable. Today think of your heart as being tough, strong, and adventurous.

You may struggle to set healthy boundaries within matters of the heart this morning, darling Libra, as the Cancer moon aligns with Venus and Chiron. Focus on what you need to support yourself before focusing on interpersonal relationships. You'll have a chance to break through restriction when Uranus activates this afternoon, inching you closer toward transformation and self-actualization. Allow stress to melt away when Luna aspects Neptune before entering Leo, and consider blowing off steam while in the company of friends. Just be mindful of who you surround yourself with when Pluto becomes agitated later tonight, steering clear of frenemies.

Will be doing my window closing, shade closing to keep the heat of the day out.  :)  Cousin's 94 yr old father, 35 year old son were part of the conversation.  I am glad I am no longer "sandwiched".  Her gentleman caller has a 98 year old mother who is costing $200,000 per year for where she is living... Me and my siblings never had that long duration contemplations about what to do with mom or dad.  Very good news due to available funds.

Picking up the fortune cookie fortune that the breeze blew out of my little fortune paper holder on my desk.  "Impatience may be appropriate at this time."  You know I love that talk.  :)  Have a good Saturday.
