Day 15

Split our time on Friday between Mt Shasta and Dunsmuir.  Realizing the winter is not the time to visit this area.  Things close down in October and open back in April...for many vendors.  Oh well.  We went as far up to Mt Shasta that we could before road closed gates.  Went to our new favorite store - Dollar General - to get some stuff for cabin.  Even on vacation I could not spring for cream cheese for my morning bagel for $7.00 for a small block at the Mt Shasta grocery store...  Will need to map out food today and tomorrow for Monday-Wednesday with Monday, Tuesday regular places closed and then the holiday start.  We will be on the road on Christmas Day going from here to Redding.  Snow is moving in and we have a flight on Thursday mid morning.  I did not want to be thinking about that ride with snow.  Spent a chunk of time in Dunsmuir.  Babe Ruth played in their ballpark in 1924 so they had a commemorative plaque at the ballpark.  

Today Winter Solstice Retreat.  Mount Shasta Winter Solstice Site Journey Accelerate Your Awakening on Magical Mount Shasta  Will see what the magic of the mountain brings to son and I.  :)  In the pre event ZOOM the leader sent us, he does have an exercise for approaching the end of the year and the first day of the new year.  I will take notes.  :)  Not sure what we will be in the mood for post experience.
