Day 24

Pre sound bath walk into desert to see the Giant Rock. Frank Critzer dug a cave under the rock and built a runway for small planes, and George Van Tassel believed he was transported to a spaceship by aliens there.  Giant Rock is the largest freestanding boulder in North America, considered sacred by Native Americans of the Joshua Tree area.  We parked the car at Integratron and walked the 3 miles into the desert to see the rock.  Then back to Integratron for the sound bath.  Good outing.  Then we headed to Pioneertown for dinner and concert and bailed on both.  3 hour wait for dinner and 9 p.m. concert start and the word was the Neville brother was not going to be there...  Grabbed food at a place closer to the airbnb.  Son did run into an old friend from Brooklyn bartending at the restaurant so we will head back today to visit more and eat.  

Tomorrow we head to LA, fly out Wednesday.  Going to be a jolt to my system to be alone, cold, and without a daily itinerary.  :)  Oh well.  

I have not been to a concert since the early 2000's.  Not missed by me.  First missed itinerary item on son's list so that hurt a bit.  :)  Today - get ready to leave.  Line up a back up plan for getting me from airport to apt tomorrow night in case sister #4 does not stick around in town.  THEN resetting up my apartment.  Do hope sister #4 took the stuff I left out for her and sister #6.  No word from niece #4 yet as to whether we get to see her tomorrow near LA.  THEN onward to 2025.  

Anyone who thinks you will meekly do what they demand of you today is in for a reality check and it could be painful. But try not to take too hard a line when it comes to family matters – harmony on the home front is essential.

New date for my calendar.  July 10.  And reminds me that I need to buy another calendar.  The one I have sitting on my desk at home ends Jan 31 2025.  Will be walking to OSJLs when I get home.  And a big shopping day at Shoprite on Tuesday. Will ALDI banana pick up on Thursday.  More "time will tell" episode.  Have a good Monday.  Last Monday of 2024.
