Slow day and culinary details...

What a day Thursday was.  12:52 p.m. still in pajamas.  Power went out and came back on.  Cable went out and came back on.  I learned that you can substitute applesauce for egg in pancake mix that calls for an egg!  Wednesday pancake attempt - DEEE-saster.  Thursday - success!  DEEE-lish!  And I used my one-egg fry pan whose surface is still non-stick rather than the total stick-to surface of another pan I have.  Small pancakes, but great!  But I will read the instructions before I buy any other pancake mix.  No wonder there was such a fire sale on that particular mix and syrup brand. I must admit I am finding the syrup much to my liking. The real butter was a treat to the senses also.   

Landlord called in the morning to ask if I would check on the landlady when the power went down.  Unlike me, she is not a fan of no heat.  I asked if I could take her anywhere, but as I was walking up the stairs to their apt, the power came back on.  She did ask if I could spare some ginger ale and voila - the 2 cans sister #4 left behind jumped into action.

I watched two Chicago shows before and one after the power outage.  Never did talk myself into going out for a walk.  Will be ready for this morning's walk!  Which I just moved to 10 a.m.  Another consequence of power outage.  I did not reset the bedroom clock correctly...I was an hour behind before I even got out of bed.  I am going to just write off this week.  :)  Set some higher expectations for next.  

The only wardrobe change I had yesterday was to put my pajamas back on post taking a shower at 3:52 p.m.  Very interesting day.  Amazed that I slept as well as I did.  Guess the calories I burn keeping warm in my apartment are the same calories I would be burning during my walk.  But today it is going to be "balmy".  Over 32 degrees for the first time since I have been back!  

Don’t worry if a senior colleague is critical of your work today, because no one can do anything right in their eyes at the moment. Rise above their disapproval and keep doing things your way. They value your efforts more than they like to admit.

You might have to execute some paperwork regarding money, Libra, but you will get this done quickly and efficiently. At some point during the day you're likely to get a little frazzled, but this will pass. Get your work done and then relax.

More pancakes this a.m.!  Walk with family friend and then a quick walk to library to return Love and Whiskey.  Very fun read.  Moved on to The Confidante.  Need to restock bedside table.  Have a good Friday.  I will look to be a bit more active than yesterday.  :)
