No commerce Friday?

We will see if the no commerce Friday takes.  People were looking for a way to show their displeasure in what is happening in the US right now.  See if they put their money where their heart is.  

But I do have to report an uplift to a down day yesterday.  Shot down for the job, but went to Journey Home with family friend and dropped off a dresser by her and a bag of linens from me.  Then on to Parkville Market for "Pick 3" - Chicken Rice Roll, Crab Rangoons,  Homestyle Pork Dumplings. Family friend went to another kiosk and got a smash burger.  Drove by the house my parents inherited in the '80's on the way home. Then I went to the FAVRAH drop off for the town thrift shop.  Journey Home did not want clothes, so I dropped at FAVRAH where I do not have the thought that the clothes will wash up on the shores of Thailand. Then FEN conversation at 7 pm.  Outside being sad about the job rejection...all up from there.  And of course The Life Impossible gave me more to think about this a.m.  :)  Day ended on the positive side of my ledger.  

Will do my monthly financial report - some today, and balance tomorrow a.m.  Not going to be good, but that is the way it is.  My laziness.  Oh well.  Saw this chart on Yahoo finance about net worth by your age.  I am at the median for my age...  To get an idea of how net worth changes for most people over time, check out the following table, which shows average and median net worth by age:

That was interesting for me to see. Another it is what it is.  

Today it is going to be balmy so I will try to spend as much time outside as possible.  No walk yesterday with my errands and rain.  Tomorrow Lansing, W&T.  Sunday get together with former school #2 co workers.  

Try not to get worked up on the work front today. Other people’s insistence on doing everything by the book will no doubt annoy you but what can you do? Let them get on with their thing while you do your thing in your own special way.

Authentic has been the word of the day of late.  No commerce Friday so if I needed ANOTHER reason not to buy new clothes...  :)  And as to haircut - sister #6 overdid it in January.  I won't need a haircut for decades.  :)  Line I wrote from my book today into my paper journal - "The difference between gift and a curse was sometimes just a question of perspective."  Good thought for me to start this day. Last day of February 2025 - meaningful on so many levels in my life and times.  No Commerce Friday.  Have a good Friday.
