Lots of thoughts this a.m.

Got an email overnight that I saw this a.m. from TX friend's sister.  She was in a death conversation group with me last night that had the topic of talking to kids about death...she has a grandson who never knew his father, parents never married and father died of a drug overdose when the grandson was 1 yr old.  And her husband has become a father figure for their grandson and he is 76...and the grandson will be 10 this year. And my TX friend, her sister is the one whose first granddaughter died a week after she was born and now has another granddaughter who was born 13 months after her sibling died.  And TX friend son had a grandson the same day her first granddaughter was born and is fine.  Lots to think about.

Yesterday blog work.  I was excited that I brought something new to the table for one of the blog people who reviews death related books.  Got a text at 10 a.m. from PD buddy to see if I wanted company for walk.  I said sure.  We walked from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  He had now moved out for the second time from his lady friend and is floundering a bit right now.  He has teen age kids so not sure what they are thinking about the yo-yo...I think the string for this relationship yo-yo is not broken.  Fingers crossed.  :)  Did my dishes and clothes washing chores.  $28/$7 day at Shoprite...what I needed was not on sale - block of cheese and mouthwash were two big items.

DC last night.  Windows wide open.  Love this weather.  Today walk with family friend, will ask her if spring has sprung at the cemetery where TX friend's mother, father, and two of her brothers are buried.  A picture of the flowers they planted last year would be a welcome sight for TX friend and the sister I am thinking.  EOLD discussion at noon about current state of hospice -That H Word" De-Stigmatized: Facts, Fiction, and Figures , 1 p.m. EKR lecture by Barbara Karnes, a hospice nurse.  Looking forward to both. Follow that up with apt cleaning.  :)

Sister #1 planning things for this weekend.  I will just tag along for whatever.  She always over schedules...I leave WAY too much free time between events than she is comfortable with but I am excited about showing her friend from Paraguay around our town.  She lives in Asuncion so big city has been her setting.  She did go to grad school at Ohio U like I did thanks to her Peace Corps connection - like I did.  So she has seen Athens, OH.  But I am thinking my town might be a new look for her.  :)

Lecture tomorrow night with one of my favorites - Dr. Thaddeus Pope.  Glad sister #1 changed her arrival time to Friday rather than Thursday.  :)

Venus, your ruling planet, moves into the partnership area of your chart today, making it so much easier to get along with people on both a personal and a professional level, especially if you make more of an effort to see things from their point of view.

The wheel of fortune turns in your direction this morning, beloved Libra, thanks to a sweet union between the Gemini moon and Jupiter. Wish upon a star, ask for signs, and spread joy to gain major karma points. Venus enters Aries, gearing you up for an era of romance. You'll have a gift for soothing what ails loved ones while Chiron stirs mid-afternoon, and your relationships will flourish as a result. Check-in with goals that have hit a few snags once Luna squares the nodes of fate and Saturn this evening. Get organized and acknowledge where more organization and discipline are needed to get back on track.

Take care not to get on a soapbox today, Libra. You have strong opinions on everything from religion to politics. You risk offending people if you expound on them. You'd be better off keeping your views to yourself. In fact, rather than try to change people's minds with words, why not try and do it with actions? Set the right example. It's often a more effective form of persuasion.

Glad April is over.  March and April have been challenging for me.  Even more than my usual  :)  Have a good Wednesday.
