Enough breaks in the rain for a couple "outings" :)

Not sure how sister #1 does all the entertaining and travel!  Looks like un otro RPCV for lunch yesterday with su companera de trabajo de Paraguay.  :)  He is also sister #1's daughter's godfather.  GREAT man.  Last night was dinner with una otra RPCV...incredible.

My range of motion is a bit less.  :)  I did get to Shoprite $25/$7 day.  I did not buy grapes last week but couldn't go another week without them.  Oh well.  Not much savings this week.  Then I walked my book up to the library.  My latest Silva that was on the bedside table was not renewable.  And I had not finished Larson yet.  The beginning of the Civil War has been a slog for me.  Can't put it down, but not a fast read.  Ft Sumter was not a Union shining moment...woulda, shoulda, coulda.  Dishwasher on, washing machine on.  Got the go ahead to run a letter I wrote in a newspaper in Detroit.  Hope son will see it.  Another letter will be in the GDS blog on June 15 if it does not get bumped.

Second walk after some blog work and found a jar of homemade granola on my step on my return.  That landlady! I am a lucky gal.

Got a call from sister #4.  She got a buyout offer from her LTC insurance policy.  $26,000 dollar buyout or a substantial rise in premium and less coverage.  Family friend got the same type of buyout offer last year and took it.  I am thinking the actuarial tables for LTC and the insurance companies were a bit off of reality when they were issues 10-15 years ago.  I had asked my LTC insurer about a buyout but I guess my policy is just old enough and I am older enough to make them be able to leave it in place...

Sister #6 called to say that she had her end of year meeting with her boss and her teaching situation is fine for next year with just a minor adjustment.  Not the story for many teachers going into 2025-26 school year.

Last night Cape Cod DC.  Small group, good discussion. I mentioned what I had heard on my ride to the grocery store in the a.m.  Hope the others will listen to it.

Today - walk with family friend, EOLD discussion -The Journey from E.R Doctor to EOL Doula with Rob McCurran, clean apt, 3 p.m. presentation-first of 3 Wednesdays by of the the FEN people.  He wrote the book - Achieving a Good Death: A Practical Guide to the End of Life.  Will see what he has to say and who is in the room.  Looking forward to the next two Wednesdays - Upcoming Wednesday EOLD Discussions  May 14 - Nervous System Support  May 21 - Plant Medicine/Psychedelics for Grief & End-of-Life.  I just read the message at the end of the meetings notice.  The organizer's husband had surgery and their life has changed.  I need to go looking for cards for a couple of people.  I am not a paper card person but I think there are a couple needs for them as we speak.  We will see if I move myself to execute that plan.

You can probably bluff your way out of the tight situation you now find yourself in but a better tactic would be to hold up your hands and admit that you are out of your depth. No one expects you to be perfect, so don’t expect it of yourself.

Seek stillness to connect with your spirituality, sweet Libra, as the Gemini moon and Jupiter square off. Now is the ideal time to reflect on your current situation, asking the universe for guidance where it is needed. Be mindful to visualize your goals coming to fruition, as magical moments will emerge more easily. Avoid reverting to patterns you've fought hard to break when the nodes of fate activate this evening, challenging the hard work you've put in. It may be necessary to apply new structures or discipline to your routines to stay on track while Luna opposes Saturn later tonight.

In spite of any feelings to the contrary, Libra, you're bound to be successful. You may be involved in a group project that requires a lot of time and effort. All indications are that it will pay off shortly. Continue to work those long hours, even if it means staying up all night. In just a few months, you will catch up on sleep and be rolling in money.

Here goes today.  Have a good Wednesday.
