Lunch bunch

Gave out some of my peace sign buttons at the lunch yesterday.  Me and 3 neighbors.  2 are the ladies who go swimming with me at the town pool.  The 4th person the neighbor of my TX friend's home where she grew up in town.  So I got up early to move car thinking that I would be driving to lunch.  4.2 miles distance was not the issue but not a walkable part of town.  "Mountain" is part of the lunch host's address.  :)  So I moved my car so I would not get pinned in to parking lot with work next door.  Went for walk.  Made up my lunch.  One of the lunch ladies then emailed to see if I wanted a ride...have to smile.  85 year old asking the 70-something if she wants a ride...and I did.  So lunch at noon.  Home at 3-ish.  Then cousin called.  Celebration of death for her father on Sunday.  Sisters #4 and 6 going.  Cousin understands that I do not do gathering.  Good conversation.  Her gentleman caller arrived at her house during call so some words with him too.  25th anniversary of the Open Mic events at the restaurant down the block went on last night.  But it is an acoustic type event so not so unsettling.  

Today - town pool opens.  Will see what else fills in the longest day.  Decision to be made as to walk or drive to pool.  So walk, pool.  Tomorrow - East/West DC, Albany CA DC and my writing is supposed to be up on FEN blog.  Will see what the reader response will be.  AND the good news that ZEN DC on Monday.  Facilitator is only doing once a month for summer.
