"What A Day! Open house in the neighborhood. ORIGINAL condition from when Sister #6's friend was born, carpets that were there and his father walked on them (or fell when he got "tired").. but man what a piece of property and 5 rental units.
Family friend wanted to see this picture of King Henry at Wadsworth (I kept calling him George...) from 1400's... This portrait of King Henry VIII (1491 – 1547) is an icon of Renaissance court portraiture. The inscription indicates that Henry VIII sat for this imposing portrait at age 49, a time when he sought to establish England as a major European power. Painted as a pendant to a portrait of Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleve, this Portrait of Henry VIII carries the visible political message of the king’s immense authority. We got the museum pass from the library so that part of the trip was free.
Before museum - lunch at Parkville Market. https://parkvillemarket.com/ I do the "Pick 3" at Taiwan Night Market. :)
And after - going to AC Peterson's in Hartford. Ice cream place from back in Maude's childhood. :) A.C. Petersen Farms, an iconic family-run ice cream and restaurant, has been a West Hartford staple for over a century. Founded by Danish immigrant Andrew C. Petersen, the business began with milk delivery routes in Hartford before establishing its Park Road location. In 1939, two houses were moved to make way for the restaurant and ice cream parlor. The business has passed through generations, with Allen C. Petersen serving as president since 1992. The ice creams we used to have for holidays at Maude's family house in Hartford came from there in the 50's and 60's. Ice cream shaped as turkeys, christmas trees, santas - dipped in brown, green or red shell - delivered in a cooler with dry ice. Us country kids from Collinsville were almost as taken with the dry ice as the ice cream.
Good day AND home by 4:30 p.m. which makes it even better."
Got home, had email that W&T book club leader - no club today due to incoming rain storms. I will hope that I get a walk in before it rains. Lansing DC at 10 a.m.
As mind planet Mercury moves into the career area of your chart this weekend this is the perfect time to figure out what your ambitions are going to be for the next few months, maybe even for the rest of the year. Dream the impossible dream.
Change is a difficult thing to rush, dear Libra, sentiments you'll be reminded of as the Scorpio Moon and Pluto square off. Ease into the transitions you currently face, opting to enjoy the journey instead of barreling toward uncertain finish lines. Lean on those who provide you with a sense of emotional security, even if you're feeling vulnerable. Money-making ideas could also emerge, so be sure to keep notes when inspiration strikes. Your senses will guide you under Luna's glow, giving you a chance to experience life with extra richness. Celebrate Saturday night by treating yourself to all things luxurious and delicious.
For a few months now, you've felt that things are accelerating in your professional life, Libra. Perhaps some projects have developed more quickly than you anticipated. They may have even gotten a bit out of control. Today you should let yourself distinguish more clearly what you've done so far. You may be in for a surprise.
I had too much luxury yesterday - food and ice cream. :) Will check in with my dreams. Have a good Saturday.
