Around the continent in 24 hours - picture from family friend whose family had a tour of Wrigley Field on Tuesday. The day after Ryne Sandberg died. Auspicious day for first visit to WF. Then email from my friend since nursery school whose apartment I live in (older brother is my landlord) who is in Florida now, but will be visiting in a couple of weeks. Sister #1 weekend of Aug 16, friend comes in 18th for week. She has a place in CT so she goes back and forth and her younger brother is having a family get together on Aug 24 at the cottage I drove by last Friday - Chalker Beach. Then I got the pic of the dear from a DC participant who lives in Nova Scotia. She is a Buddhist nun. Lots of input from many points of contact. AND outreach from a recent Duke grad who did her final year working with the Regenerative Futures Lab Kenan Institute for Ethics and asked me for some input as to finding work in the end-of-life arena. Her Spring 2025 project was at the Lab was with:
Researchers will take an ethnographic approach to explore what Duke students think about death and dying as well as the larger question “what is a dignified end-of-life?”. In a non-hierarchical cohort structure, researchers will host and participate in on-campus Death Cafes, interview cafe participants, and reflect on their own experience with their cohort. She offered to get on a ZOOM with me to discuss her final project results. We will see if that comes to fruition. You know me - I sent her a lengthy list of places to reach out to. Never know who is hiring and all of the places in the Death arena run on tight budgets EXCEPT the medical industrial complex. I did forget to share with her two doulas who have a solid business plan - unfortunately not the one I worked with for a short time. Oh well.
So yesterday - walked alone, stopped by library to restock, EOLD, pool, email the student. Today nothing on my paper calendar except do end of month financial report for son. Nothing on paper calendar until Lansing DC on Saturday. So walk and pool - I will hope pool opens before rain. Temps from 90's to 70's in the course of today...hold on to your hats. :)
As Venus moves into the career area of your chart today any differences you’ve had with employers and colleagues will soon disappear. The fact that you are working toward a common goal means they will be much more open to your ideas.
The moon and Chiron face off this morning, dear Libra, stirring up romantic wounds. If you owe someone an apology, use this energy to make amends. Internally, recognize how you mirror others or if you've struggled to advocate for yourself within relationships. You'll feel steadier once Luna exits your sign and enters Scorpio, bringing subtle sweetness to your surroundings. An elevating aspect with Venus increases your sense of self-worth, and recognition for your professional contributions could lead to advancements or a pay increase. You might feel torn between where you are and where you want to be later today when Pluto stirs, insisting that you bide your time.
Things may be moving a bit too quickly for your liking today, Libra. Make sure you continue at your own pace so you don't get pushed into something you don't want to do. Eliminate all fear from your being. The more receptive and accepting you are, the more opportunities will come your way. Have faith in yourself and your actions by not falling prey to whatever the crowd is doing.
I will keep fingers crossed for my swim today. Have a good Thursday. Last day of July 2025.
