Wore out some "shoe leather" today :)

Or for me, sneaker tread.  But first My Perks from Shoprite.  I should be aghast for what "the machine" knows about my shopping habits, but to get personalized extra saving on those things I shop for all the time - blueberries, bread, grapes, bananas, store brand bread, cookies, butter.  :)  They did send me a bonus savings on some Pepperidge Farms bread to try to get me to move off store brand...but still does not get the price down enough.  I will do recon on my walk today to see what needs to be in my cart tomorrow.   

So after clicking off all the online coupons, I walked to Unionville, walked to/from the pool, swam, Alameda DC.  Huge gratitude list in my mind after those 2 hours.  My life might not be one to aspire to, but I appreciate my health and contentment with what I have today.

Got a pic from PD buddy with another of the boys in blue I worked with back a decade. They were at the lake house of another former co worker.  Hard to get my head around how long ago it was.  2010-2013.  Time flies when you are having fun.  :)  

Did have a neat connective tissue event with the blog of some NC friends about a friend of theirs who died who had a connection with sister #1's country of service in Peace Corps and friends of hers who had connection with the man who died through Peace Corps and National Park Service.  You know how I love it when my worlds collide.  

Today writing, Shoprite recon walk, swim (will drive today!), FEN DC at 3 p.m. So I will need to keep moving in my lackadaisical way.  Will hope to hear from son this week to see how his weekend with company went.  Hope he had a good visit.
