Yesterday was interesting to say the least. I got distracted in the a.m. by what I cannot recall right now. But headed out to do my Sunday Unionville walk on a Monday. And "just so happens" :) ran into PD friend and his daughter and a lady that lives along my walk route - both out and about "off schedule and off route" because our state now has the Hindu festival of Diwali off. Sister #6 who is a teacher in MA says that September and October are hard months to get traction as the school year begins with holidays and PD days. Oh well.
So went out at 10:15 a.m. and did not get back until 1-ish. Then eating and getting ready for PA DC, then left right after to get to Community Center for town meeting. Not a meaty meeting but an interesting "set the table" for budget discussions for FY26-27...it is going to be interesting to say the least. And that is with the reality of FY25-26 very likely to throw some monkey wrenches in as the year goes on as to what the town really ends up paying for everything. I am trying to look at it with a "not my circus, not my monkeys" eye, but something feels off about how we fund local governments and what is expected by residents in 2025 and beyond.
Family friend gave me a ride home.
Today is Shoprite - my goal is no grapes going forward, dishwasher, clothes washing, walk, vote, pick up book at library, CA DC, IOWA DC. Weather is forecast to be beautiful. Need to get cracking. I am letting the package to brother go by the wayside so that is off my mind.
