Well that was a day...

ZEN DC facilitator had sent me an e-card that led me to discover a lotus garden...in my state!  Who would have thought.  Beach cousin sent me the cupcakes.  Have to smile.  I had this grand scheme to buy myself a real store bought cake item, but did not splurge.  Did allow myself 6 vanilla cookies rather than the 5 I eat to end each 2nds meal.  :)  That was my eating splurge.  Balance of yesterday.  My flip phone got down to 24% power by the end of my walk at 3 p.m.  That is so not my usual level of communication.  :)  So Houston, sister #1, TX friend, NC co-workers - one who has the same birthday (2), former town hall co-worker who was the union steward when I busted the secretaries union who has the same birthday, sister #6, family friend and her husband, former school #1 co workers (3) including former boss in CC, former boss in Dev, former co worker in Comm, sister #4, lady who helps me with big stuff with my little money, ZEN facilitator, undergraduate college friend, former high school classmate TX friend and I had just visited in Cambridge, NC friends who were just in town for their NE road trip, former school #2 co workers (2) one who now lives on Lake Winnipesaukee, niece #2, TX friend's sister, PD buddy.  Most importantly - brother and niece #1.  First I had heard from both of them in a year.  Did my heart so good to read messages from them both - Happy Birthday was it from brother, but back and forth with niece.  I will not get greedy but I will feel that it could get better.  

Spent more time than usual on cleaning apt since I was walking after EOLD at noon.  Cleaned off desktop of my office desk.  Double booked myself for noon online, but dropped off one session and went to EOLD and am glad I did.  I did go back and forth with the presenter for the session I backed out of.  She was not really set up for participants...I will watch the recording at another time.  Capitalism, Community, and Imagining a New Model for Healing: Microdosing in Modern Times with Kayse Gehret

The facilitator is using plant medicine with her husband who has dementia and is an acquaintance of sister #1.  Interested to see her journey.  So I stuck with my weekly EOLD.  Palliative Care for Veterans  The presenter was very good and spoke to things that should be a part of anyone's care. Then long walk.  Talked to son for most of the wander.  One more gift due in today.  Then I had my Progresso soup meal #2.  Then to GA DC at 7 p.m. with presentation by a hospice doctor.  Great presentation and so glad I found my way into that group.  I am reminded that my life was not quite like others?  Just a thought.  :)

Today - will think about car ballet for the town Halloween parade so my landlord can have my parking space for people who will be coming to his apt for the event.  I will be working Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and then have a 6:30 p.m. LA DC on Saturday.  Watching Chicago shows this a.m., FEN presentation at 1 p.m. will see if I walk before or after.  

Lots to think about today after outreaches from yesterday.  Want to make sure son has a list of the people for his "file cabinet".  AND how did Mr. Google know to send me the balloons yesterday...unsettling, festive but unsettling.  :)

If there is something you hoped would be finished by now you may have to accept that it isn’t going to get done any time soon and drop it from your wish list. Also, make sure what you are working on pays off financially. Time is money after all.
