6650th post :)

No voting going on, but civics were on my mind yesterday.  Walk took me by the Community Center and I stopped by to introduce myself to the new Sr Ctr employee.  I will hope this works out.  Not sure what her background is.  Part time at Sr Ctr and part time at Midas Muffler...  At least customer service is a common thread.  Then I had a plan to stop by the CAO's office to tell him what I experienced at my visit and "I just happened" to run into him in the Town Hall parking lot.  Shared with him.  Then I - in a very awkward way for the staff - invited myself to tour the BOE offices accompanied by the Business Manager...not sure what she thought or the other workers thought OR why they even let me wander and asked questions.  :)  Then home to write some notes to the Director of the Sr Ctr who is also the Director of Park & Rec and thanks to the CAO I now know supervises the Soc Services person.  As always, I told her to "take what she liked and leave the rest" of my writing. The did a load of wash.  Then 6 p.m. BOF budget hearing.  7:30 p.m. ZEN DC.  8:30 p.m. back online to BOF to see the board vote 4-2 (party lines) to move this budget to referendum on May 14.  ROV reached out to see if I would work that day, so I reached out to massage person and ask if I could move my appt from 14th to 15th and she said OK so I said yes to making some money on the 14th.  Called it a day.  :)

Today I am going to join the Sr Ctr and see what that puts in motion.  Fill out form, pay $5, wait and see.  Good exercise for the new person - in my mind.  But first things first, Shoprite, run dishwasher, walk, CA DC.  

If you come into money between now and the end of the week, you can be sure you have earned it, despite what others might say. You cannot allow their sour negativity to spoil what should be a thoroughly enjoyable time.

A neighbor or relative might volunteer to help you with some chores around the house, Libra, but you could sense that his or her heart isn't in it. This person is probably thinking about things and just needs some kind words and a little advice. Just accept that even though you have help, you'll probably end up doing most of the work yourself. Offer what support you can, and think of it as good karma.
