SSS Day - Shoprite Senior Sendoff :)

Swung by Shoprite on my walk yesterday.  Wanted to check my savings at ALDI on the two items I forgot yesterday and was walking over to get today.  SO bananas - $.59 versus $.55 - check.  Then the bag-o-salad kits - WHAT!! - 3 for $6.... AND the last day ever for the Sr Disc at Shoprite and I went no further.  Spent $7.18/Saved $6.35.  Good sendoff from Shoprite and the SR Disc Tuesdays.  That brought my week spending up to $29.49...but 3 bag o salads will be dinners for a stretch.   Ran into a classmate at Shoprite (did not share my mission with her) :)  And ran into someone on the rails to trails so chatting with her distracted me from carrying my parcels.  Never did make it to ALDI.  

And the other "sendoff" item.  I reached out to my CH friend to see if they needed their house key back for the house they are selling after 43 years and after being my home away from home when I visited CH since 2006...got a bit teary about that.

Family friend's husband called me on my walk to shopping...was very disappointed when he saw I was not working at the polls.  He and I are both anxious for his wife/family friend to get back from her travels...Will see if we are walking this a.m. 

Off schedule apt cleaning.  On schedule run dishwasher.  Up way too early this a.m. so will see where the day goes today.  Family friend walk, EOLD are the only plan items.  Thursday Torch Run for Special Olympics.  Will meet up at the usual place with the police people running.   

Woke up to our town budget being voted down again.  Will see what the next steps are now.  Also can't tell about CA elections.  Pratt did not do as well as I had hoped.  Will see what the news has to say today.
