You recently went through a phase whose quality I might compare to a dry, crunchy, bran-heavy breakfast cereal without milk. It fed your hunger, though it wasn't particularly tasty or thrilling. It was highly concentrated and good for your digestion. Now you're slipping into a kind of Cracker Jack mode, with lots of airy puffs of popcorny sweetness and an occasional nut, climaxed by a toy surprise. The Cracker Jack phase will be more like a snack than a meal, though, and it won't last too long. By next week at this time, I'm guessing your life will have resemblances to a hearty, organic, five-grain hot cereal sweetened with maple syrup and cinnamon.
Back to checking my freewill and my other routines after my pre, trip, and post distractions - I do have to think a minute about the news for the week ahead. I did have a good day yesterday. The carnations are about a gift I got for helping the Science Dept head with a project. That "well done" gave me a boost of energy and my night reflected it. I walked my normal walking route "backward" - reversed my direction. (Doesn't take much to shake up my life..) Then I worked on printing out my 2006 check register off my computer. Preparing to do my own taxes for the first time in my life. We will see how that goes. Then I lit up my incense, candles, cleaned house, took my bath, watered plants - an inspired and energized evening.
Planning underway for the weekend - I have wash to do, dinner on Friday night with people from my last new job, figuring out when and where to meet sister #5 and #4 for #4's 50th birthday weekend. We are shooting for Sunday afternoon. Single digit weather this weekend...walking into my 55 degree apartment is like walking into the tropics!! Everything is relative.
Going to give myself a bit more time to get ready this a.m.
