Found myself humming "Walking in Memphis" as I walked last night. I don't know what brought Cher to mind. I have a Cher CD that I listened to up and down the east coast when I used to drive from NC to FL to see my son while he was in college. Maybe planning for another road trip had me in "travel music" mode. Humming that song, the beauty of the half frozen river with a dusty of snow on top and almost full moon made for a stunning walk last night. And I wrapped up the walk by walking over to the local "package" store for a bottle of wine - NIGHT HARVEST Merlot - was my selection. I felt I needed to fortify myself for this week's cosmic guidance. I don't know who I am supposed to be bossing around, but I will try to find someone!
"The disease of niceness cripples more lives than alcoholism," said writer Raymond Chandler. That's an exaggeration, in my opinion, but I think his point is important--especially for you Libras right now. As much as I love your ability to cultivate harmony, seek out beauty, and find the common ground between people, I encourage you to let the sweet and polite sides of your nature recede into the background for a while. Emphasize feistiness and grit. Tap into the fiery, primal aspect of your nature that drove you out of your mother's womb and into this world in the hour when you were born. Be inspired by the creator gods and goddesses of ancient myth, who playfully forged millions of beautiful things using wind, mud, tears, and lightning.
February 1, 2007 -- Your confidence has rarely been higher and at some stage today you will challenge someone who, in your opinion, should move over and make way for a greater talent - your own. Intellectually and professionally you are more than a match for them, so make your move and don't stop until you have won.

I am going to make a little ceremony out of putting seed money into my son's new company's bank account today. I am very excited for him.
Was very sad to see that Molly Ivins died yesterday. She was a fiery Texas woman - but I don't think they make them any other way in that state!
My radio antennae has been suffering from the cold, so I have heard very little sports radio on my way to and from work. It is not that long of a commute 12 minutes, but I can't believe how little I have heard about the Super Bowl. My friend in NC has the best super bowl parties and her husband is from IN so I am thinking it will be even bigger and better this year. I "need" IN to win. It will be my only redemption for my pre-season picks. I can't wait for the 8 hour pre-game show!
Have a good Thursday.
