Friday!

Great trip to the dentist yesterday. I am thinking that would not be the lead item on other people's description of their day, but I love getting my teeth cleaned. The day also worked as to getting things done in time for me to slip out for one of my favorite activities. And that was only the beginning of a good night.

Very enjoyable dinner with my neighbor. Looks like the boyfriend of 7 yrs+ is history and her daughter is away on vacation with her dad...so my friend's life looks different. She is experiencing a glimpse of what I felt like when my son went off to college. Fall of 2001 everything fell in on me. Lucky for me my boss of the time "bought me" a life coach for what was going to be months turned into a year or so. Still plenty of issues I could be addressing, but that sure helped get me through that empty nest attack. But back from dinner, great outdoor dining and then a quick walk the dog walk. I was able to do dentist, pool, then dinner - so the entire day "worked" for me.

Sports news - Daly at the PGA Open. How does he deal with the Tulsa heat - as he does carry "a few" extra pounds - "caffeine and nicotine" per Daly. You KNOW he is one of my favorites. How did he prepare for his fast start in the tournament? "Shooting craps at (the local casino)." He is one of a kind. I don't know if wife #4 is still in prison...

To finish out a stellar day and night - came home to the tale end of the Colts-Cowboys pre season football game. I could have died and gone to heaven. Couldn't get any better.

Niece #2 was accepted for a new college for this Fall. She is very excited. I guess that means sister #3's summer visitor will stay on as a fall boarder.

Not sure what today holds. My co-walking, co-worker is coming in to walk, but then will take a vacation day. I am hoping that she will not mind walking in the rain since she will be able to go home and dry off instead of heading to work. I have my weekly meeting with the boss this morning - always an interesting start to the day. She still cannot talk herself into taking a vacation day. I am glad I do not have that "what will happen if I am not there" feeling anymore about my work setting. It always makes me nervous now to meet people who would rather be at work than at home unless they are self-employed.

People started lining up at 9 p.m. last night for the grand opening of the new area LL Bean store for the chance for a $500 gift certificate...the way the stock market is going I probably should think twice about not lining up for some financial gains! But I think I will just let it ride for right now.

Have a good weekend. I am still undecided as to where to go. But no bad choices.
