Monday snow day

Don't know if it will become an official snow day from school, but I will be going out shortly to begin shoveling out. It is not too bad right now, but my goal is to get stuck at school rather than in the house. We will see. Of course the big thing is book club.

I kept thinking yesterday how I was having a very Demi-Ashton thought process with that 30-something guy at the get together on Saturday. I am sure the only celebrity he was seeing when he looked at me was Betty White or another of the Golden Girls...oh well.

Good day yesterday - church, counting money, then to work. Great brunch and good work time. Got home in time to watch the end of the Giant game. Yeh! But now the game is on - Giants vs Packers. Colts let me down. But I know NC State fans will be happy to be seeing Rivers in the AFC Championship game. Needs to be an NFC Super Bowl winner this year.

Also got home in time to watch the NBC national news - I really do miss the NewsHour - but did enjoy Q&A with Jonathan Karl. Another good show.

I so energized yesterday in comparison to Saturday. I think getting with those people on Saturday night, talking kitchen renovation with sister #4 on the phone, good night's sleep, early church and my counting money co-workers, brunch at school - HALT (hungry, angry, lonely and tired) was all over Saturday; Sunday I was energized. It is so easy to keep on track if I just keep recognizing what it is that makes me "work". I did laugh out loud as I was walking yesterday when I thought about "Ashton" and the lady at the party who thought I was an FDR contemporary...I guess my vision of myself and what others see is a BIT different - guess? I don't think there is any guessing as to whose perception is closer to reality! But I am still not going to get rid of the grey - not that the grey is the only thing keeping me from Demi-like.

Off to the shower and then out to shoveling so I am ready to go as soon as it gets light out.

Have a good snow day - or sun day, if you are in one of my more favorite places to live...
