Wednesday

Yesterday was interesting - two calls trying to get me to run for town Democratic Registrar of Voters. I had to make a decision by the caucus meeting last night - you know how "quickly" I make decisions...I think if I had been able to sleep on it, I would have done it but I might end up as appointed to Deputy Registrar if the person who asked me ends up getting the nod. I let my thinking about work keep me from committing right away - that is not a good thing. But I think I am moving in the right direction.

Lunch on the patio outside my office yesterday - beautiful day, quick strong rain storm, but then clear for a walk. Off to West Hartford to have dinner with an ex-co worker. Will take a walk after that.

Stopped at the grocery store on the way home last night - my contributions for the dept W&C. I hope we have a good turnout. People are a bit grumpy when we get to this point in the school year - but most of the staff have a summer off to look forward to unlike us worker ants...

I am starting to plan on what it is I need to bring to the beach. This is going to be a pricey month, but the stimulus check arrived yesterday.

Talked to a friend who was at the Obama speech at Wesleyan. It was her reunion year and she and her 13 yr old son went. What a neat thing to do with him! I did commit to go to the state Obama supporters get together on June 3. Carpooling with the couple who got me involved with local politics. My sister called and asked if she could carpool with me to our cousin's 50th b'day next Friday. It is going to be a busy next couple of weeks and then vacation. As I said June is going to be "a month".
