Sunday

Yesterday came together with a start at the parents, saying goodbye to their next door neighbors - that was sad for my folks. Very nice people. When I was there, my dad had pulled a page out of the Crate and Barrel catalog so I walked down to C&B but the size of the item was too big for their counter top area. (It was a bamboo dish drainer...I am sort of glad it did not work!) I will keep my eye out for a like item.

Then I was off to the town pool and there was just 2 people in the pool so although cut short by thunder - it was a good 30 minutes of "lapping" - something that I don't normally do but it was too inviting with the empty pool. When the thunder started, I headed home and enjoy becoming one with my couch during a great rain/thunder and lightening storm.

Church was next - baptism was part of the service so it went a bit long. I had to hustle to meet my ex-co worker at a local restaurant but it all worked and we had a great visit. She is off to Elmira NY and her new job on Thursday.

Got two calls yesterday and missed two calls - the calls I got opened up a very inviting option for me with an old co-worker from Houston. I will wait and see what he emails me as to his idea of having me be his "virtual assistant". It sounded like it would be just the distraction I need to get through the year at Ethel. We will see.

The calls I missed - one was from sister #5 confirming that I will be there this a.m. to help her move. The one I missed was from a co-worker. I am hoping she was calling to tell me she got engaged! I will text message her later today - a bit early right now.

My thought is to get in my car by 7 a.m. or so and head to Pomfret.

Have a good Sunday.
