Happy New Year!

January 1, 2010 - Can't believe I am in my 6th decade. Guess that means I will turn 60 this decade...

Cosmic guidance gives me reason for optimism today. Always a good thing.

"Your thoughts gravitate to career matters as the new year starts and fortunately you are in a perfect position to reach your goals in the coming year."

"Your limitations will be among your greatest assets in 2010. Yes, you heard me right, Libra; I'm not speaking ironically or sarcastically. During the coming months, you will be able to benefit from circumstances that you might otherwise imagine would prevent you from operating with maximum freedom. It might require you to look at the world upside-down, or work in reverse to your habitual thought patterns, but you could actually generate interesting opportunities, vital teachings, and maybe even financial gain by capitalizing on your so-called liabilities."

New Year's Eve was fun last night. Stayed a bit longer than I thought I would with "the young kids" but I got home in time to see the ball drop and some very unsettling coverage of Dick Clark. I stuck with Carson ________, (forget his last name) and stayed away from Clark and Seacrest.

Yesterday I finished off my temporary work assignment. Really enjoyed that. Got home in time to take a great walk in some sun (after morning snow) and then I went on a laundry binge. I washed and washed clothes right up until it was time to go to the party. Not sure what moved me to do that. But in the process I unearthed a lovely "spark-ly" silver shirt that I wore last night. The kids definitely noticed that something was different about the non-school me. That was fun AND a good signal for the year ahead.

I am off to NYC again tomorrow to see my son. Northampton maybe on Thursday mid morning to see an ex-co worker. I have a meeting Monday night, basketball on Tuesday night, HBSC 2010 events start up on Thursday night, basketball again on Saturday.

2010 thoughts - UMASS to see St Louis play, Oct 31 Marine Marathon (walk, not run), work?, winter road trip south?, very interested to see where this year takes me.
