Informative day :)

Got this from a NC friend. Can't make this stuff up.  A photograph of the sun taken throughout the year at the same time everyday - forming the symbol of infinity?  Nature never ceases to amaze me - and if it is an internet hoax...I don't care.  :) As I shared with them - Every time I feel Mother Nature has shown me all she has to show...BAM. 💥💫 Thank you so much for sharing.  What a gift on this longest day of light.  If I ever feel that I am alone and things are chaotic, all I have to do is look up to the skies... AND to the south, knowing that you and Mary are always walking this journey with me.  Another gift.  ❤️

Tuned in at noon for a session from the Completed Life Symposium on Thursday. There is a Rwandan saying, "When you are well, you belong to yourself. But when you are sick, you belong to your family."  The Safari Concept is a palliative care framework that uses a Rwandan social-cultural approach to end-of-life care. The concept is based on the idea that families and communities are important in African cultures, and it encourages them to participate in decision-making and care alongside medical professionals. The word "safari" means "journey" in Swahili, and the concept uses local language, idioms, and metaphors to reflect the psychosocial distress of patients and their families.

"I am because you are" is a phrase from the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which means "I am because we are". It's an ancient concept that was adapted into a philosophy in South Africa after apartheid, and it's based on the idea that humans can't exist in isolation. Ubuntu suggests that people are created by each other and that humanity is a quality that's shared, not just an individual trait. It emphasizes the importance of humanness and personhood, and it encourages people to avoid actions that harm others because they'll ultimately harm you too.  A good first session.

So that was a great start and end of the day.  In between walk, massage, swim, then - SESSION THREE - WHAT'S NOW VS. WHAT'S NEXT: THE FUTURE OF MEDICAL AID-IN-DYING IN THE UNITED STATES with Thaddeus Pope.  Interesting conversation.  As usual - "why" of our national approach is the question that comes up.  It is not pertinent for me with my refusal to get medical intervention but one woman at the post presentation discussion - took her father to Switzerland so he could die with dignity.  The SD DC facilitator was in the discussion group.  He is very active up and down the west coast in the action and discussion.

Today - walk and swim.  Session at noon - SESSION FIVE -DO OUR DEATHBED VISIONS MAKE OUR LIVES COMPLETE?  Will need to watch tape of the next session re palliative sedation.

It may be tempting to hide away from the world so you can avoid the kind of people who rub you up the wrong way but you should in fact do the opposite. Seek out those you disagree with and use your intellectual powers to prove them wrong

You'll feel serious about building your dreams, dearest Libra, as Mercury and Mars align in our skies. This energy promotes action and smart planning, motivating you to evolve into a more refined and experienced version of yourself. Just be mindful to stay on top of important details later today when the Sagittarius moon squares off with Neptune, bringing a forgetful energy to the table. Give yourself space to recharge from the comfort of home once the full moon rises in Capricorn this evening, urging you to set boundaries so you can fully reset and recharge as the weekend begins.

You should notice a boost of energy today, Libra, and your self-confidence should be revitalized. In matters of love and romance, everything is running smoothly. Your emotions are stable and grounded. Love and harmony are in the air. Take this opportunity to move toward the object of your desire with certainty and affection. Romance is in the cards for you tonight.

Listening to All-In as we speak.  Donald Trump is their guest...  :/  What a world.  Have a good Friday.
