Well that day took a turn :)

Ended with Foster's Ice Cream so all's well that ends well.  Took a quick spin pre DC and then headed out immediately after and "hustled" for an hour.  Tracked down by PD buddy so that meant the second half of the walk became a sprint (my version)  :)  Got home at 12: 45 so was suited up and at the pool with 5 minutes to spare before it opened.  Sat on the bench for a minute outside the entrance to cool myself down.  Then dove right in!  So lucky to have that pool.  Great DC and I told them about my RFP for two doulas.  We will see how those land when my "scheduled send" sends on Monday a.m.  Fingers crossed.  

Was settling in to a very sticky night when family friend called at 4:30 p.m. knowing I had already had meal #2 but would I want to go with them to dinner.  I could eat or not, but just to get out into some AC.  I accepted.  We went to Taste of Thailand in a few towns over.  I had a salad and then we went to Foster's for ice cream.  Good end to the day.  I was sad to hear that I missed family friend and her grandsons at the pool!  

The real boost to the day was TX friend called and laid out her itinerary.  Puts a new look on next week.  She arrives Tuesday p.m.  Will rent a car and head over.  Leave Wed a.m. to go to her sister's on the Cape.  Come back here on Friday.  Reunion is Saturday night.  SO I can stick to "my" week next week.  Will focus on some day trips for 15, 16, 17.  Then she will leave on Thursday.  

Today walk to Unionville, pool.  Hope it a bit less sticky than yesterday...

Returned Death is but a Dream to family friend.  Took some notes before I handed it back.  One was "Today, healing is replaced with treating, caring is supplanted by managing, and the art of listening is taken over by technological procedure".  So glad she lent me that book.  Hearing the author speak online or watching documentary does not do his thinking justice as the book did.
