Extend-o walk and swim

Two days left for swimming.  I wander for a minute what it would have been like to live somewhere where swimming was in close reach every day.  Place without the cold of winter.  Living close to family.  Interesting thoughts.  The Berra quote - "when you come to a fork, take it"...always have to think about all the forks.  :)

But day yesterday walk, swim, almost done with Yellowface.  Easy read.  Very curious how it is going to end.  Can't figure it out yet.  Water was still chilly, but outside temp was warmer.  Unfortunately for school kids, warm coming back for first week of school.  Today Saturday walk.  PD buddy will catch up with me along the walk somewhere.  Curious as to when his last day is.  

 

Family friend is out at her sister's on the "gold coast" north of Chicago on Lake Michigan...this is the view in their front yard...  Incredible.  Looking at the map, I thought the lake I was seeing in Detroit was Michigan...it's Erie.  Talked to my TX friend while I walked.  She is off to NM for daughter's birthday and her middle sister's 3rd wedding.  TX friend and her husband are finishing up a DIY bathroom renovation.  Yikes.  I wonder what that is like to take on those kinds of projects, have a husband who can fix anything and enjoy working along side.
